From day 1 of Josie's battle Ronald McDonald House opened their doors to us as a family...

You can help keep families together
in their darkest days

It has been 9 months since my daughter Josie was diagnosed with very high risk Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.

9 months of worry and stress, 9 months of being homesick and missing family and friends, 9 months of feeling helpless, scared, frustrated and heartbroken. One day I was living a quiet, peaceful life with Josie and my two boisterous boys Zack and Billy, and the next we were transported 6 hours away to Newcastle so Josie could begin treatment at John Hunter Children’s Hospital. It happens that quickly.

It’s Ronald McDonald House that has kept us together these tumultuous past months. It has been home for all of us, and many other families who are going through a similar ordeal.

Thanks to this place we have also had the joy to experience 9 months of treasured laughter and days spent together, 9 months of meeting some of the most incredible and inspiring people you could imagine, making friendships that will last a lifetime, and 9 months of learning what life is really about.

You can ensure families going through the trauma of having a child in hospital can continue to be looked after at Ronald McDonald House by making a donation today.

There are hundreds of families like mine who will be able to stay together thanks to your support of this wonderful place.

Thank you

Emma, Billy, Zack & Josie
A Ronald McDonald House Family
